About this a-here bloggum doohickey of mine…
Volapukblog is the outlet for the daily clash between what I do for a living and what I pick up from the internet. Sometimes it mixes like a good Mai Tai, on other occasions it’s a head-on collision. Oh well, it all happens inside my head, so no harm done.
I have been with Porter Novelli since 2004, putting my experience as a creative mind, troubleshooter and strategic roadrunner at the service of clients like Bluetooth SIG, Parrot, Easynet, CSC, Tele Atlas, Penske Logistics and Dow. I drive pan-European media projects, conduct media trainings and coordinate the writing for clients in a wide variety of styles, from flamboyant consumer blogging to solid internal or B-to-B corporate messaging.
By tapping into fresh tactics and feeding off ancient wisdom, I continue to grow my expertise in digital media and horizontal influence, strategic support and event organisation. My cultural, social and professional antennae are pointed towards mainstream noise and underground hum, mixed with a great interest in technology and business strategies.
I spent the first five years of my career in Amsterdam, where I worked as a copywriter for The Reader’s Digest and as a journalist for the foreign news desk of The Associated Press.
